Consider: Pearlcatchers using their spit to create opalenent horns, or to seal ones that have broken off.
Obvious aesthetic applications, plus a transitioning tool for trans PCs, but also useful for those who have important memories that they need to keep literally attached to them at all times without it being obvious.
I don’t know if it’s been thought of, but this can also means that Pearlcatchers with the Opal gene possibly did that to themselves. Like sealing wounds with their spit. Or if they have capsule its what their spit looks like and their pearl’s color because of that. Idk I just thought of this and PC have always been interesting.
I wonder if other PCs getting stabbed with a pearl-spear would be able to tap into whatever memories are in that particular bit of goop
Ok but assuming that’s what happens, imagine a pearlcatcher crafting a blade out of the painful memories of their mate/family/friend being killed by someone, specifically to get revenge and make the killer feel the pain of loss and all the hatred they have now because of that loss.
He’s long since gone. The only remains are his blade, begging for an end, for their love to come home.
We’re all guilty of it, c’mon. Surely FR comes up in regular life, like describing a car to be “crimson iridescent” or the tree you’re looking at to be “chartreuse” or that rock over there happens to be “latte” or “hickory” coloured. Outsiders listening in on us must think we’re all established artists or colour snobs lmao
Fun exercise. Would it make sense for the rib bones to tuck in underneath the keel? Could the keel be several pieces connected by cartilage to offer great flexibility for those front limbs? I’d image the front limbs would be comparatively weaker than the hind limbs due to the wing pectorals taking up the bulk of the space… perhaps dragons use front limbs for dexterity and precision motions rather than power?
I love FR’s recent apparel sets, but I would love to see more clothing items that aren’t, you know, so perfectly shiny and clean. After all, you have a game with all these horrific beasts, give us some dirty, ragged, worn stuff.
Just…Let me dress my filthy hobo lizards according to their social status and budget (which is nonexistent).
