I’m just getting a chance to catch up on the new lore and after reading shadows piece, here are some thoughts.
In Kindred Crossing, the lunar eclipse turns the moon violet. This is no doubt a nod to shadow flight’s colors but also it has bearing on some science type things. I will admit its been a while since I took optics (I wasn’t even very good at it) but I think this works. Anyone is welcome to correct me.
Lunar eclipses on earth are red(ish). That’s why we call them blood moons. This happens because light gets filtered through the atmosphere and loses colors from shortest/fastest wavelength to longest/slowest. Purple goes first all the way down through orange and red at the bottom. The longer it passes through, the more colors go away.
Sornieth’s moon turns purple, which leads me to think that the atmosphere is, for whatever reason, filtering colors in reverse. This means that, not only will lunar eclipses be purple pink and blue but so will sunsets and sun rises. And during the day, red will get filtered out first, leaving the sky a light orange/gold color.
are u a “worry and complain about never having any gems whilst multitudes of valuable items sit untouched in your vault” flight rising player or a “sell everything and never spend what you earn bc what if you want to spend it on something else later” flight rising player
I’m type 3:
“Has nothing at all because I sold everything and spent it on who knows what. Hoard and vault are empty.”
What are your favorite gene combinations on dragons (primary, secondary, and tertiary)? Share your faves!
Crystal/Shim/Circuit, Iri/Shim/Circuit
Wildclaw
Do breeding cooldowns frustrate you?
Not really since I don’t really breed my dragons. Having to wait to breed pairs for breeding projects do frustrate me since I want them to be finished as soon as possible.
Stormcatcher
What catches your eye in other people’s lore?
Characters that are interesting/relatable.
Interesting plot with some suspense and action.
Lore that is fun to read and doesn’t feel boring after the first few sentences.
Lore that is organised so that newcomers can easily read them from the beginning.
The Sunbeam Ruins
What’s your favorite lair aesthetic (doesn’t have to be your own)?
Outer space, water, ice, black and gold, black with neon colours. There are probably some more that I can’t think off the top of my head.
Fafnir! I always seem to forget to draw dragon wings aah… But i love her, she deserves more art! I love her accent, which is Queen of the Solar Eclipse by ZeroAerie!
