In today’s Developer Update, we’d like to give you a small peek at our upcoming World Map revamp, which will include all new art, interactivity, and expansions to the world of Sornieth. We’re also working on a weekly site activity called Roundsey’s Raffle Roulette!

I’ve noticed players are still asking about G&G and how to complete it on Hard mode. I put two short recording together and I hope it helps.
I’m not an expert at this minigame, so forgive me if I took extra steps in completing these. I tried to do them slowly, but I am not a good teacher

If you need additional help, this post does a better job at explaining with words than I could.

Also, here’s some advice: Take your time and practice. You may not get it right away and that’s okay. Don’t strain yourself trying to finish this game in record time. Keep in mind that the time means nothing.
I know it took me a couple of hours to figure it out (I only had the forums to guide me at the time), but I eventually got it. You’ll get there, too, you just gotta practice and it’ll click. Before you know it, you’ll be speeding away and maxing out the Fairgrounds faster than you’ve ever had with any other minigame!

Have fun and enjoy your earnings!

I’ve been writing a massive post about food and infrastructure within the Lightning flight but now, staring at the map, my assumption that the greater sea surrounding sornieth is salty might be made foolish since, in a weird geographical twist, the greater sea might actually be feeding Water territory

what the Fuck am I supposed to make of this river. Do we assume that the saltwater is confined to the flats with negligable leakage to allow the Sea to maintain its freshwater status, or are we to assume that the greater ocean is also freshwater?

bitches, I thought I was being so clever too about there being a freshwater shortage in Lightning that affected its border relations and agriculture development 😡

Hi. I’m a little late but you’ve summoned me with Geography.

So my take on this river. Just in the screenshot above we see two things. On the west side of light’s territory, the waterfall which gives us a direction of flow. But the east side also has a similar indicator. The three light blue lines indicate a conflicting flow direction out to sea. The water closer to the banks is moving more slowly due to friction so these waves advance faster at the center line of the channel. Water is flowing from left to right.

SO. We take from this that Hewn City is sitting on top of a large spring natural or unnatural which is feeding two rivers which flow in opposite directions. One flows west and into the central sea via the falls; the other flows east and out into the greater sea.
