Excuse me but. Why the fickity-fuck are Trendal and Wemba eating smoked fish? They are a tundra and a skydancer, respectively, neither of which eats seafood.

Thinking on it, I wouldn’t be surprised if a number of the dragon breeds are closer leaning towards being omnivores, but the site cuts them down to only eating specific things for mechanics’ sake. Or at the very least, they can eat outside of their normal diet if need-be without repercussion. I’m sure dragons who live in areas that have scarcer food supplies especially can’t typically afford to be picky.

I had the coolest dream about a site wide even last night.

It was called “Descent of the Shade” and most of it was happening in the coli but it added a lot of content to the entire site and everyone was PUMPED

The increased magic in the realm that was causing the Bounty of the Elements was also affecting the remnants of the shade, giving them the ability to fully take control of dragons and familiars. There were new enemies in the coliseum that were a shade-infected version of every dragon breed and of a lot of the enemies you’d normally see and every venue was darkened and destroyed.

The shade infected dragons were purple and black and were covered in Shadowbinder-like goop as well as having mutations caused by their exposure to the shade.

A story mode was added to the coli where after you fought enough of the shade dragons you could eventually start getting them and shade infected unhatched eggs to add them to your lair. The story itself involved helping shade-infected avatars of Undel and Xhaztol figure out where the main hub of the shade was so that it could be destroyed. The first enemy you fought was a shade infected Mistwatch Shellion, which ran after a few turns and lead you to a group of shade dragons. Only one of them could actually talk to you, and it stayed to taunt you while the other three ran off.

(the shade infected dragons had unique art for each breed/gender but i can’t copy the site’s style well enough before i forget details so please except this awful artist’s rendering)

The dragon that stayed behind was a skydancer who you then had to fight. When you beat her, she dissolved into shade goop.

and then I realized it was a dream and “woke up” into another dream about being sad that it wasnt real. c’est la vie

A chunk of ice near the Fortress of Ends snapped and fell into the ocean and floated. A shape trapped inside the ice began to awaken from its long slumber, from times long passed, as the ice began drifting towards the Windswept Plateau.

The creature inside could only look while he began to process what is going on. How has it been when he was trapped in the ice? His memory was foggy from the long time he was trapped in the ice.

As the ice got near the waters of Ashfall Waste, he could feel the ice slowly melting. He wanted to get closer to the heat to melt more of the ice from him and be free from the icy prison he was trapped in. However, the ice began to get swept away towards the Starfall Isles instead.

He began to try to remember his past, what he was before being encased in it. Then he remembers. His name is Icewing and he is a Gaoler, a jailer of Icewarden. A prisoner tried to escape and stabbed him, leaving wounds that were too serious to be cured. While the prisoner did not escape, his own life certainly is. The last thing he remembers is the faces of his fellow Gaolers looking at him as he was encased in ice to prevent him from dying.

He could feel the chunk of ice wash up on the shores between the Wandering Contagion and Crystalspine Reaches. When the chunk of ice broke, he freed himself from the ice and staggered towards the Wandering Contagion, hoping to find a way to properly heal his own wounds from a long time ago and return home.
