Ten Eyes – Beatrix Thundrael, Magister of Lightning

soo i had to make a lightening magister outfit and some scries to go with ofc. idk what flight reps are supposed to be wearing to occult meetings, but i say she’s a rough, wandering desert mage and none of y’all can stop me
Okay, I’m really digging these lore posts. This sort of site activity is/was long overdue.
Having more insight into the world of Sornieth is fantastic! Obviously, the reveal of the gaolers was amazing, but there are lots of other things I love, too!
I love:
- Seeing interactions between dragonkind and a member of a beastclan, and some context as to how and why they’re able to work together!
- Showing that there are indeed multiple languages in Sornieth.
- The fact that they threw in surnames for dragons (and I find them oh-so cute and appropriate)!
- The little ways the writer represents each dragon species! The inclusion of Beatrix using her second set of eyes to see heat, as well as her breed’s natural temper flaring up, Arwin using her frill to respond instead of verbal communication, Trendal’s memory faltering due to stress, the mention of Wemba’s forehead gem, and more!
- OCULUS OF THE ELEVEN?? A NEUTRAL TERRITORY SET ASIDE FOR ALL FLIGHTS TO KEEP TRACK OF MAGIC AND WHATNOT?? THAT’S SOME GOOD FUCKING LORE AND INTERESTING INFORMATION!
From these two lore posts alone we have learned so much about Flight Rising’s lore! I can’t even truly touch upon how much I loved reading them! And this is only the first two! My excitement and need to read further lore posts is like a terrible itch, and DAMN if I’m not vibrating to finally get to lay my eyes on Plague’s piece. q___q
Also?? Seeing the community burst alive?? Seeing the art and lore posts and speculations and discussion inspired by this all is truly a breath of fresh air after years of stale bs.
I’m going to be so, so sad to see this activity and enthusiasm inevitably end once the site is done with the event, but for now, I’m a happy lil’ lad and have a reason to look forward to Flight Rising again.
