i had a wild dream about FR releasing a bunch of surprise content during the start of Bounty of the Elements as a more or less ‘fuck you’ to everyone whining about it not being exciting enough, including but not limited to
-unique hybrid breeds between every dragon breed (but they costed treasure/gems to start an incubation bc they needed special nests) and couldnt pass on the trait/were sterile
-random-chance/super rare ‘primal’ mutations (e.g. a tundra looking like a gaoler), but the mutation wouldn’t continue to the children
-an ass-load of new genes, including some weird one with a radioactive-symbol pattern? also a Load of apparel
-a weird alternative to baldwin where instead of needing special ingredients for advanced transmuting materials you could pay some extra treasure and it’d generate a randomized one for you to pick up (like an imbued sulphur or reinforced beaker). for some reason it also had the option of generating a sludge/ooze/muck/etc item for 400 treasure a pop instead of a material.
The Scribble Birds are back for the next 48-hours. If you’ve ever wanted one or two or fifty, order them now because once those 48-hours are up the shop will close permanently.

“Watch over them,” she’d commanded–but the mother of Light had no idea that she’d made another mistake. How? How had she made this many? she would wonder endlessly, after the first incident.
A hatchling. How? How?
Hidden eyes, hidden intentions, their smiles are wide and warm as their blades swing down in a brilliant arc of light. Beautiful. Devastating. If only their targets were what she had intended them to be. Her children are strong, however, she thinks. Surely, they are able to defend themselves. Adapt. She hadn’t made that many, after all. A test run. She tries to reassure herself, reassure the frantic prayer that now hangs in the air as a summer haze.
And, they do adapt.
Hatchlings no longer linger to play in the setting sun. Clans strengthen their numbers, increase their watches for the ‘smiling death.’ They shouldn’t have to, something hisses in the back of her mind.
Glancing at her claws, she clenches them angrily. How many more mistakes would they make?
