lynx has no wings or tail due to being ensnared in a beastclan snare. the wounds were so deep that they got an infection that spread so rapidly that their wings/tail had to be amputated. they cant fly anymore, but what should have made them weaker actually made them stronger. now that they are landbound, they are stronger and bulkier than usual. they can run very fast and lift twice as much weight as a normal ridgeback could.
sacrificing a lightweight frame for flight has allowed them to become heavier and more muscular. so uh, checkmate i guess, beastclans.
